Bilingual product data: why Arabic listing quality decides your sales

Arabic titles, attributes and search terms are the difference between a listing that ranks in KSA and one that never surfaces.

Most catalog problems on Saudi marketplaces are not sourcing problems. They are data problems.

Search happens in Arabic A large share of marketplace search traffic in the Kingdom is typed in Arabic. A product with an English-only title is effectively invisible to those shoppers, no matter how good the price is.

Machine translation is not enough Category terms, sizing conventions, materials and local product names rarely survive raw machine translation. Arabic copy needs to use the words shoppers actually type, not a literal rendering of the English.

Attributes carry the filters Colour, size, material, wattage, compatibility — these drive on-site filters and comparison modules. Missing attributes remove a product from filtered browsing entirely.

Images and compliance Marketplaces enforce background, resolution and packaging-image rules. Rejected images silently block go-live even when everything else is correct.

The supplier's job A supply partner should hand the marketplace complete, bilingual, attribute-rich data at upload time. That is what turns a large catalog into a large live catalog.
